2024 AGM Concludes in London
The 2024 ALLIANCE Hockey AGM was hosted on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in London with more than 180 members participating, including special guests and Honourary Life Members.

The 2024 Annual General Meeting was opened by President, Larry Moreland who welcomed the members and thanked them for their tremendous efforts over the past season.
Following the President's address, special recognition was provided to the following teams for their notable accomplishments:

Congratulations to the U18 AAA Waterloo Wolves who enjoyed an outstanding season which included capturing the championship title at the Sudbury Big Nickel tournament, finalists at the Waterloo Gold Puck tournament and capturing the 2024 ALLIANCE Hockey U18 AAA Championship title. The Wolves represented the ALLIANCE in the Central Region U18AAA Championships where they were undefeated until the Final game where they captured the silver medal. Congratulations on a great season Wolves!

Congratulations to the U15 A Woodstock Jr Navy Vets who had a very successful season including finalists at the St. Thomas Boston Pizza Cup, Champions at the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic, finalists at the Port Huron international Silver Stick, capturing the ALLIANCE Hockey U15A Championship title and capping the season with a silver medal finish at the 2024 OHF Championships. Congratulations Jr Navy Vets!

The Brantford 99ers U13 A team enjoyed a fabulous 2023-24 season. Some of their accomplishments include finalists at the Chicago CCM World invitational in November, champions at the Wayne Gretzky International tournament in December, champions at the Lake Placid New York Challenge Cup, 2024 ALLIANCE Hockey U13 A Champions and 2024 OHF gold medal winning champions!

Championship Chair, Jennifer MacDonald had the honour of presenting the 2024 U13 A OHF Champions – Brantford 99ers with their OHF Championship-winning banner!

ALLIANCE Hockey had tremendous success on the ice and we are proud of all the teams for their success this past season.

The Executive Director's Report focused on the achievements and challenges experienced over the 2023-24 season. The Report also noted the direction that the organization will follow in the coming seasons and the associated work involved to ensure the intended path is followed.

The delegation was also treated to a special presentation from Heroic Minds CVO, Ben Fanelli.  ALLIANCE Hockey was thrilled to have Ben address the audience with some thoughtful and important messaging focusing on the game, players, families and overall mental well-being.
ALLIANCE Hockey is committed to ensuring that players, families volunteers, officials and administrators alike are supported throughout their hockey journey and is grateful to Ben for providing important information and guidance to the members.

The annual meeting wrapped up with the Honourary Life Member nomination of Tony Martindale.  Martindale was Executive Director of ALLIANCE Hockey from 2003-2023 and was a founding member through his work with the KMHA prior to that. Martindale becomes the Association's ninth Honourary Life Member.

Prior to the Annual Meeting, various members and supporters participated in the annual golf classic which was followed by a reception dinner on June 14th.
